Important note: older horses not in work with access to good quality pasture usually obtain an adequate intake of major nutrients, minerals and vitamins to meet their wants, however if there are health issues such as poor teeth, weight loss or perhaps arthritis then it becomes necessary to provide extra nutrients to support them.
