Karen & Jason Fry

Jason and I run Riverglen Australian Stockhorse Stud at Bunyip North and mostly breed and show. Our Riverglen horses have been very successful over the years and we are proud of the many horses we’ve bred that have been sold onto homes where the kids have been very successful on them.

Recently Riverglen Black Magic was awarded the prestigious ASH Prince of Wales trophy (awarded once a year by the ASH to the most successful Stockhorse over a number of disciplines).   He has always been ridden by a 14 year old as well.
We have both been riding since we were little kids, although I have now retired from riding and chief strapper to Jason and daughter, Cassidy.

We currently have 15 horses but majority are broodmares or weanlings.   Jasons greatest achievement is winning the 4 yr old Maturity at last year’s ASH National Show and also winning the 5 yr old Challenge at this year’s ASH National Show.   He also won Supreme Ridden ASH at this year’s Canberra Royal Show riding a 3 yr old filly.

Competitive wise we have achieved our goals and will wind down and just breed a couple each year.   Our daughter, Cassidy will take over Riverglen ASH Stud from next year.

Our favourite Hiform products are Breedplus for all broodmares and young horses, it’s a quality economical necessary feed additive that we have always used.
We aim to breed quality Stockhorses with exceptional temperaments that will suit any discipline and we feel we have achieved this.
